Finally got the chance to try this place . Came on Sunday around 3pm and it was packed . They're very old school . No reservations. CASH ONLY . And the waiters write everything on a guest check slip . I dont have an issue with any of that . The only thing I didn't like was that they really have no way of keeping track who came in who's been waiting for a table . So a couple that came in after us just saw an empty table ( it was empty bc someone had just got up, it was still dirty but they just saw the opportunity and quickly sat down ) I approached them and told them that they're were at least 3 parties ahead of them waiting for a table as well but they just gave me a bogus excuse that they had called ahead of time and ordered over the phone -__- okay I didn't want to make a scene so I just walked away but when I mentioned it to the waiter she also pretty much blew me off . That's the only reason I didn't give this review 5 stars. The food was amazing . We ordered the Fried Fish (Pargo Rojo) it comes with rice, fried plantains , beans, and salad. It's HUGE!!!! $35 We also got the cazuela de mariscos AMAZING! It kinda pricey $35 but it also comes with rice, plantains, beans and salad
The empanadas here are delicious probably my favorite thing at this restaurant. Only downside is that I feel like the price for these empanadas are constantly rising but they are so good I do not care what the price is!
This place is great. My Mom and I have been coming here for years, and Maria always recognizes and greets us. The Empanadas are bomb, I'll never get them anywhere else!

I used to visit this restaurant every Sunday with my family when I was a child. We know it as "Maria's." 10 years later I came back this afternoon to have lunch with my family and it was exactly as I remember it ten years ago. The same pictures on the walls, the same tablecloths, the same delicious smells, the same smiling Maria, and of course the food was exactly as I remembered it. Delicioso. Being Colombian this is as authentic as it gets. One of the BEST meals you will ever have. Two words: Red Snapper. If you come here you must start the meal with some fresh blazing hot empanadas and wash them down with an ice cold Colombiana. There's no other way to go.
